The climate change has led ELDES to engineer a further version for its Radar Systems, which can now be proposed not only as fixed installations, but also as mobile on trailer, opening a wider range of applications.

With mobility, ELDES systems (WR-10X – WR-25XP – WR-J) can be easily deployed for real-time weather observation during events in which the safety of operations and people is the first aspect to be taken into consideration; think for example to Sport Events or Leisure activities.

For Civil Protection purposes they can be used for weather monitoring for temporary structures and emergency control installations. In general in all the situations in which a high-resolution observation, with the guarantee of an effective early-warning on a specific area, is required. Even if this area is already covered by Radar service, the increased resolution given by a local sensor, allows the right notice and the right level of information for a “mission-critical” approach.

At the same time, the WR-Mobile can be a valid tool in the Research/University sector to carry out traveling study campaigns on a specific territory, or always, in the field of Civil Protection and Meteorological Observation, to follow (and track!) significant events.

They can also be an alternative for the Radar coverage of territories without suitable infrastructures to host fixed installations, such as inaccessible areas, or in any case not reached by electricity or data connections.

The WR-Mobile solution is compliant with MIL standards for road and helicopter transportability and MIL tested for stress resistance.

The possibility of being customized with highly reflective adhesives, retractable awning for operator protection and sturdy anchorages ensures safe operation in all environments, even with strong winds. The WR-Mobile was designed to house an independent power generator, but it is also equipped with sockets for a power and data connection to existing networks.
